New for 2013, HandiWorld are providing us with HandiKarts (kayak trolleys) to help with the onland lugging of kayaks. With 280 locks to negotiate over 30 days on the water, that’s a lot of getting in and out of the kayaks, and a lot of trolley work. These trolleys could turn out to be the most useful accessories that we’re taking (it was duck tape last time….).

As in 2010 we shall be using Handiracks, kindly provided by HandiWorld, to transport the kayaks. These are convenient, flexible multi-purpose load-carrying racks for the car that can be fitted or removed quickly and simply by literally anyone. Even us!
